Software Engineer

Platform Staffing Group an STA Group Company is looking for an intelligent, ambitious, thorough, and detail-oriented person for the role of Software Engineer for our direct client in Midland, MI. This position is for a Software Engineer in our direct clients Information Research discipline of their Research & Development (R&D) organization.
Key Responsibilities

This role will require this individual to work within a team to develop, deploy, and support the corresponding software. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of study. Must be proficient in Object Oriented development.

Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals.

Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in software development (Microsoft C# or VB.NET) and working with databases (including writing SQL queries)
1-2 years; experience hands on IT skills – systems analysis, requirements engineering, workflow/process mapping, and data flow mapping & parsing
Self-starter, proven ability to plan, prioritize & organize work to meet deliverable assignments with minimal direct supervision
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Team player – shares openly, collaborative, participates actively, desire to help others.
Nice to Have:

Experience working in a scientific/research environment and with laboratory data
Experience with SSRS a plus
Experience with Python, Agile, Azure DevOps and Git
