Job Purpose:

The Software Engineer is a vital member of Xytech's Engineering department. This role will be responsible for developing high-quality applications leveraging a variety of tools such as Azure DevOps and employing best practices throughout your work. You will also participate in code reviews and share your experience collaboratively to help Xytech's Engineering team grow.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work within agile development teams to help build and deliver enterprise level software solutions.
• Leverage Agile methodologies as a key part of a team to deliver quality software that meets the business requirement.
• Has a focus on quality of deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal team as to defining objectives, requirements, and successful outcomes.
• Leverage tools like Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft SQL Server using best practices to deliver software and improve quality.
• Merge code using internal standards.
• Participates in code reviews.
• Writes high quality enterprise software using multiple languages.
• Shares experience in a positive and collaborative way to ensure growth of the team.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in a professional environment, preferably with Microsoft technologies.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies such Microsoft Azure using IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions.
• 2-4 years of experience writing software solutions in Microsoft .NET using C#, Microsoft SQL – TSQL, JavaScript, React and other related software technologies.
• 2-4 years of experience writing API based software using micro-services architecture.
• Experience troubleshooting cloud-based enterprise software.
• Experience participating and contributing to code review sessions.
• Proficient with git including pull requests, cherry-picking, branching, and branching strategies.
• Experience using Azure DevOps Service.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal development teams.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience being a team contributor and making those around you better.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Working Conditions:

• None: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).

Physical Requirements:
