Lambent develops a software-only cloud-based spatial intelligence and occupancy data analytics platform for smarter space planning. Our product, Lambent Spaces, provides continuous and historical occupancy-based metrics and KPIs using AI and anonymous data from existing wireless technology and other data sources in the built environment. Lambent Spaces provides the information, APIs and tools that organizations need to achieve space utilization targets, automate and integrate with smart building technologies, align schedules or staffing with actual demand, simplify reporting across departments, and reduce capital and operational expenses.

In this role, you will work as part of the team building and delivering value across all aspects of our product from integrations to data pipelining to analytics and modeling to APIs and applications. The work includes but is not limited to:
- Collaborating on defining and delivering customer and business value
- Designing, developing, delivering and maintaining software, services and infrastructure
- Developing robust data pipelines that meet product and business requirements
- Ensuring the reliability, security, consistency and scalability of our solution
- Continuous learning, staying abreast of technologies, and sharing knowledge
The Experience You’ll Bring
You should bring a passion for delivering value to customers and making the technology decisions to get to value fast, incrementally improving along the way. Your success in this role will depend on having the following:
- Experience building and working with data-intensive systems and time series data
- At least two years working as a developer in a commercial software organization
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on work with data warehouses or lakehouses like Databricks or Snowflake
- Practical data engineering work with systems like Apache Spark or Apache Flink
- Proficiency in Python and at least another language in widespread commercial use
In addition, it will be helpful if you have:
- Exposure to Agile tools like Jira and to CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, Docker
- Development experience with Typescript, Microsoft Azure and Postgres
- Experience working in an early stage startup and high-growth environment

This role reports to the CTO but your day-to-day will be with the Scrum team and collaborating with our Chief Architect, Chief Data Scientist and other functional leadership.
And while we mostly work remotely using tools like Miro and Slack, we have dedicated office space in Boston, MA for hybrid work, and we bring the team together for in-person collaboration, all-hands meetings and social events.
