QVC seeks Software Engineer in West Chester, PA. As part of the Digital Platforms department, which handles the QVC and HSN website, mobile apps, OTT platform and all the digital platforms of all Geos of QVC, is responsible for working to develop, configure, code, and test programs and specifications. Responsible for developing modules and Json exporter for the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for content authors and website experiences. Handle the content modules that are available for the content authors for different platforms and different Geos. Present all work in design review and code review sessions, explaining and supporting decisions made and actions taken. Interface with business analysts, scrum master, project managers and clients to clarify requirements; assisting other team members with their assignments; testing own work and contributing to the development of test plans; and preparing documentation that describes installation and operating procedures, including application user guides. Provide first and second level troubleshooting, technical and operational support, escalating issues to the right party when required, and participating in technical design. Additionally, troubleshooting application problems, effectively identifying and escalating issues as appropriate, and producing documentation for changes and enhancements to current systems. Contribute on the main projects for the business that requires expertise on the platform that the business uses. Develop and create new content modules as prioritized by the business using Adobe Experience Manager and external applications used for our websites. Use Java to create/update the Json Exporter to expose the different data properties for other platforms such as the mobile apps. Create technical documentation of the work and platform developed. Coordinate with Manager on Technical goals and training needs. Work with QA team on processing work and testing capabilities for automation of the projects.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Science, or related field plus 2 years of experience in Software Engineering. Must have 2 years of experience in the following: Information Security and Access Management to Windows users; Users for Windows Active Directory; Supporting installation of remote software. Must have 1 year of experience in the following: Agile methodology (Scrum); Experience Manager (AEM) development; Sling Models; AEM Json Exporter; Deploying to containers; and Java Development. May work remotely consistent with company policy--must live within commuting distance of office location.
