DUTIES: Design, develop, modify, and test Optum software applications for the healthcare industry in an agile environment; design, code, test, debug, document and support all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value; Analyze, design, implement, test & debug software application analysis, design & develop software application; collaborate with the team on application architecture design and decision-making; develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business; provide alternate design solutions along with project estimates; design and implement application enhancements in collaboration with different teams; work on high priority issues involving high business impact, using different monitoring and fine tune the services accordingly; work on customer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them; handle Incident, problem and change management activities: ensure that all documentation has been updated and that work product meets compliance requirements; work with business to prioritize production issues for resolution; and conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan. Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Computer Engineer-related occupation. Position requires 2 years of experience in the following: Healthcare Domain; HIPAA EDI X12
experience especially in 270, 276, 837, 278, 834 or 820 transaction sets - Jboss, JAVA/J2EE, Linux, Mainframes, Webservices, Messaging/JMS/MQ; AWS cloud; MYSQL, GitHub, Rally, ServiceNow, Visio, Xld, or Jenkins; SonarQube; Application architecture or design; F5/GTM/LTM, firewall and network configurations.
RATE OF PAY: $109,000 - $129,318/year
