Software Development Lead /Javascript / Python

This is a 6-9 month contract to hire opportunity open to US citizens and Green card Holders only at this time. The hired candidate will need to occasionally meet in person with management as needed (around or near the Pittsburgh area).

The Senior Technical Lead will hold the helm of our day to day technology direction and strategy.

The individual in this role will be responsible for managing both onshore and offshore development teams, and playing a key role in product design, application architecture, scalability, and enhancing the user experience.

\The position is designed for a leader with significant technical acumen and the ability to drive innovation and team performance, with the expectation of growing into a more strategic executive role over time.

Key Responsibilities:

● Lead a comprehensive technical strategy, overseeing both onshore and offshore development teams with the foresight to align with long-term growth.

● Serve as lead developer on new features

● Tirelessly strive to build a platform that surpasses client expectations by solving challenging business problems with the best user experience and the best infrastructure

● Spearhead product roadmap development, fostering innovation, scalability, and robust architecture in our application offerings.

● Establish and uphold best practices in software architecture, coding standards, UI/UX design, and product quality.

● Engage in proactive product design initiatives, advocating for features and improvements that enhance user value and market competitiveness.

● Partner with executive leadership to synchronize technology strategies with overarching business objectives, indicating readiness for future strategic responsibilities.

● Manage the product development lifecycle from ideation through to deployment, ensuring the delivery is on time, within budget, and of high quality.

● Champion Agile/Scrum methodologies to optimize the development process and foster a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.

● Mentor and guide the technical team, fostering an environment of growth, innovation, and excellence.

● Remain up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements to keep company application at the cutting edge.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

● Significant experience in leading Software Development teams with a portfolio of successful web applications.

● Expertise in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Python Flask, and SQL Server.

● Demonstrated experience in system architecture

● Demonstrated intuitive grasp of UI/UX design principles.

● Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and drive projects to successful completion.

Exceptional communication skills, with the aptitude to convey complex technical ideas to onshore and offshore team members as well as non-technical stakeholders
