Software Development Team Lead - Front End

Job Summary: We're seeking a Software Development Team Lead with a strong focus on front-end development and a deep understanding of direct-to-consumer e-commerce platforms. This dynamic role involves leading a cross-functional agile team, focusing on our main website, consumer-facing quote engine, and consumer facing portal. The position offers a blend of leadership and hands-on coding, requiring solid experience in modern front-end frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee and guide a cross-functional team, including Development, QA, and Business Analysts, ensuring effective and on-time project delivery.

· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, including conducting 1-on-1s and assisting with performance review process.

· Collaborate closely with Stakeholders and Team Members, aligning development efforts with broader project goals and timelines.

· Facilitate team meetings (standups, planning, backlog refinement) to ensure agile methodologies are effectively implemented and maintained.

· Guide technical direction, architecture, and long-term strategy in partnership with IT leadership.

Must-Have Qualifications:

· 4+ years of experience in Software Development, with a strong focus on front-end technologies.

· Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks (we have Vue and Angular apps)

· Demonstrated ability to lead Agile Development Teams effectively.

· Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Experience in e-commerce front-end development, particularly in direct-to-consumer platforms.

· Experience with production A/B testing practices and platforms

· Experience with Google Tag Manager or similar tagging platform

Preferred Qualifications:

· Knowledge of DevOps Practices & Platforms (Releases, Pipelines, Git).

· Familiarity with production level site analytics (we use Google Analytics 4)

· Comfortable working in a CI/CD environment.

· Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

· Experience with at least one modern cloud platform (we use Azure)

· Understanding of NET API back-ends (not required but beneficial for a comprehensive grasp of the overall stack).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $118,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
