We are looking for an intern interested in automation to help our Banner Financial Aid team.
Banner Financial Aid helps Financial Aid administrators handle Financial Aid processes accurately, efficiently, and strategically. With flexible capabilities to manage, automate, and monitor complex processes—including eligibility, awarding, and disbursement—it allows staff to have more availability to focus on core efforts, like helping students one on one.
Where you will make an impact
- Plan and conduct basic unit and module testing
- Create automated smoke and functional tests for batch processes.
- Work on assigned stories and other technical activities with direction by more senior members.
- Collaborate with scrum team and/or immediate supervisor on a regular basis for direction of priorities.
What will you bring
- Studying a degree in computer science, software engineering or similar course of study
- Experience in Grails, Java/Core Java/J2EE, SQL
- Experience working with XML, HTML
- Experience working creating Docker images and Docker Containers
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
- Experience with Agile Software Development practices such as XP, Lean Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
Bonus
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Postgres.
