Software Development Intern | New York, NY 
Job Summary: PVE, LLC is currently searching for a Software Development Intern to work with the Software Development group in New York City, New York. This person would work closely alongside the Lead Software Developer to build and maintain initiatives at PVE.
The PVE software team is a primarily Python-based team, building full-stack web applications with a strong emphasis on user experience and interfaces. The apps we build help our architects and engineers design buildings, make sure our clients pay us on time, and ensure that site visits are more efficient.
  • Work with the Lead Software Developer and relevant stakeholders to build features for our suite of internal apps.
  • Address incoming issues and feature requests on existing and legacy projects.
  • Optimize interfaces and applications for responsiveness, speed, and legibility.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for use now and in the future.
  • Document code in-line and through READMEs and Wikis
  • Participate in code reviews and give thoughtful and constructive feedback to other team members.
Education:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, completed, or working towards completion of a Software Development bootcamp program, or other applicable degree program.
  • Excellent attention to detailand exceptional technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency with at least one high-level modern programming language, Python and/or JavaScript preferred.
  • Comfortable with modern web technologies, including web components, PWAs, and accessibility standards.
  • Great at documentation, including well-commented code and READMEs that make it easier for other developers to jump in when needed.
  • Familiarity or interest in architecture, engineering, energy, or planning is a plus.

Pay Range: $20.00 / hour- $25.00 / hour
