Job Description:


We are actively searching for a proficient and committed Full Stack Developer to join our product development team. In this role, you'll play a vital role in shaping and implementing our infrastructure standards to accelerate the development process.


Your primary duties will involve building the next iteration of our SaaS/Cloud-based platform designed for optimizing buildings. You will be responsible for designing software and systems that collect, analyze, and interpret data, subsequently transforming it into valuable insights for our clients.


The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of both Front End and Back End technologies, strong database skills and ability to pick up new development technologies quickly. Comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently are essential for this role.


This unique individual will be responsible for:


  • Design, implement, and maintain SaaS based applications as well as tools to streamline solution delivery by internal teams and partners.
  • Develop software using object-oriented design and state of the art design patterns for service-oriented architectures.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality Ruby on Rails code for efficiency and scalability.
  • Participate as an active member of a Scrum team including feature definition, Sprint planning activities (estimation & task break-down), daily stand-ups, task and test management, and retrospectives.
  • Setup, configuration, and management of CI/CD pipelines using Codeship to deploy to Kubernetes.
  • Help manage applications within Kubernetes clusters for updates and scaling to ensure high availability and performance.
  • As a member of a team practicing test driven development, participate in the definition of feature acceptance criteria, write unit, integration, and acceptance test.
  • Design and implement algorithms for data processing, analytics, and machine learning by leveraging Timescale’s database for time-series analysis.
  • Document software functionality and provide 3rd tier support for developed applications.
  • Integrate software with internal systems and vendor provided libraries, applications, and systems.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, Product and Development managers to define technical strategy, plan projects, develop requirements, write specifications.
  • Quickly acquire knowledge of HVAC control systems, data collection, and energy consumption, baseline and savings calculation methods.

Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in developing enterprise SaaS applications.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep expertise in integrating front-end and backend technologies.
  • Proficiency in working with graph data structures and developing complex data structures and algorithms.
  • Solid experience with web technologies, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and multi-tiered architectures.
  • Expertise in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis).
  • Understanding of design patterns, best practices for scalable and highly available systems, and a strong sense of product ownership.
  • Excellent mathematical and algorithmic problem-solving skills.
  • Effective at facilitating team coordination, communication, and leveraging team strengths towards common goals.
  • Clear ability to articulate software designs and explain code structures.
  • Preferential experience developing in a Linux environment and using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and analytics tools.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration systems (Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring junior developers and promoting efficient design and coding practices.

Salary Pay Range:


  • $120,000 - $170,000 annually
