Software Development Engineer, Amazon Advertising

• 3+ years of non-internship professional Software Development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

As part of the Sales Technology team our goal is to deliver best-in-class products and data solutions to improve the effectiveness of Amazon Advertising's sales teams worldwide. We are building sales enablement products for Amazon Advertising front line sales team.
A qualified candidate for this role enjoys working with end users, developing customer-focused UX, workflows and web services, and solving business problems with extensible software solutions.Engineers on this team can turn large data sets and disparate systems into actionable, insight-driven products that can help Sales teams serve some of the world’s best known brands as well as small businesses selling products on Amazon. Key job responsibilities

• Be heavily involved with design and product teams to understand needs, propose features, create early prototypes and transform them into exciting experiences.
• Propose innovative tools, frameworks, automations and processes that are used by the entire services team for development.
• Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code-reviews.
• Deep-dive into client or server systems to optimize for performance, maintainability, scalability, extensibility as needed.
• Mentor your team members to promote engineering excellence

• 3+ years of full Software Development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
