Essential Job Responsibilities:
Fiserv is looking for a Sr. Software Developer to join our Deposit Liquidity Solutions development group within Fiserv's Integrated Solutions. This role is an experienced IT professional, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. He or she is highly collaborative and can bring predictability and repeatable success to IT projects by employing methodologies and best practices. The developer will support our development and deployments that are utilized by internal and external customers. The candidate should have a passion for development and possess deep development skills in the Java and database code bases. As an senior developer you will be responsible for developing and ensuring adherence to technology and integration with other business units as needed within our highly visible-client focused applications.
This role will be expected to partner with Fiserv Product, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Documentation, Infrastructure, and Security teams to help develop go forward strategy.
Projects will encompass the development of new product feature/functions, large scale cross-platform integration efforts, refreshing existing legacy platforms, bleeding edge proof-of-concept financial services modules, and professional services engagements for some of the largest financial organizations in the world.
We are looking for someone who acts as a role model and mentor junior software development team members and adhere to methodologies, standards, strategies, and quality. The right person will influence others by demonstrating professionalism, passion/enthusiasm, providing communication/motivation and creating a collaborative environment.
As an Advisory, Software Development Engineer or Software Developer you can look forward to:

• Working as full stack engineer for developing software applications following specifications, guidelines and tools provided by the company.
• Leading teams to solve production issues and determine root cause
• Creating software as a programmer adhering to standards and business requirements.
• Designing technical and functional specifications used in the development of Fiserv software
• Designing/programing internal tools, as well as, assist in prototyping for use in development of Fiserv software.
• Participating in planning sessions and technical discussions and demonstrate ability to translate ideas into technical designs.
• Attending Scrum meetings.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• 10+ years of hands-on experience as a member of engineering teams in delivering resilient and high-volume technology solutions built in Java/J2EE, Angular, Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• Recent 5+ year experience delivering Java/Spring Frameworks, Spring Boot
• Recent 4+ years hands-on development experience with design and development of applications using MS-SQL
• Recent 4+ years hands-on development experience designing, writing, debugging, and testing using front end technologies Angular , Typescript, HTML5, Responsive and Progressive Web designs
• Recent 4+ years hands-on software development experience building RESTful API's including JSON over HTTPS
• 6+ years hands-on software development experience designing, writing, debugging, and testing object-oriented code
• Experience with relational database design, performance tuning, and optimization
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex full stack Web application and backend services
• Experience with API interfaces, Authorization and Gateways. (Swagger/RAML)
• Solid understanding and experience working on RDBMS and No-SQL databases
• Advanced knowledge of coding techniques contributing to the reliability, maintainability, readability, simplicity, performance, and testability of software
• Hands on experience deploying applications to Docker and Kubernetes
• A solid understanding of complex IT environments, including networking, databases, security, and performance.
• Hands on experience deploying applications to an Azure environment
• Display strong verbal and written communication, with ability to communicate effectively
• Researching and suggesting modern ways of development solutions

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Experience in Kafka
• Experience with Snowflake
• Financial/banking sector experience is an advantage
• Experienced in the day-to-day practicalities of Agile/Scrum software delivery methodologies and JIRA
• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD, Jenkins, Maven, or Github
• Azure Fundamentals certification
• Experience working in a distributed environment setup with both offshore and onshore presence
