ECS is seeking a Software Developerto work in our Dahlgren, VA office.
Job Description:
ECS has an opportunity for a Software Developer to support at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency based in Dahlgren, VA. This position is a Hybrid positing, with on site and work from home opportunities. DTRA is moving to a SQL based database from a Excel database format. The SQL database will also require the creation of a front end user interface.
The Role:
- Working from requirements specifications to develop or modify software applications
- Designing, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documenting application features and changes
- Reviewing and assessing existing enterprise applications, to support new features, performance improvements, upgrades, and ongoing sustainment
- Participating in performance, load, and stress testing, and remediation of issues identified
- Participating in the development of new systems throughout the entire application lifecycle: requirements analysis & definition, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment
- Participating in activities that ensure the successful use of these systems including developing documentation, test scripts, and training materials
- Working in an agile team environment participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews, and daily standups
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Software Development
- Database Data analysis, Excel, SQL, Elastic, web-based UI experience
- Proficiency in Windows, Linux development
- Proficiency in Java development
- U.S. Citizenship and an Active or Interim DoD SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working on custom development software projects.
- Experience working with DoD customers.
- Experience working on cybersecurity projects.
- Experience working on DoD contracts, or combat systems experience
- Vue web development
- Tactical system experience
