Software architects at Infinite Campus work to promote consistency, common technology, communication and good design patterns across many Campus software systems. They do so by working closely with development teams to conceive, design, and prototype core technologies and advance features. Architects also work with product managers and senior management to design and prototype new ideas. Must be legally authorized to work within country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B) now and/or in the future.
Job Responsibilities
• Design system architectures that are durable, scalable, and sustainable.
• Ensure the integrity of underlying system architecture as the system functionality evolves.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams.
• Research industry trends and guide the evolution of the Campus architecture.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor technical skills in other developers.
• Communicate architecture vision to the broader development community.
• Access Infinite Campus customer data in testing sites and backups provided for analysis adhering to the practices and procedures outlined in the master security guidelines.
• Fulfill other related duties as assigned.
Desired Background
• BA/BS in computer science or related field and 10 years industry-related experience
• Ability to adapt to and work with numerous functional organizations
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated competence in the full technology stack of web-based applications, particularly in the area of Java and Relational Database Management Systems
