Software Architect

Location: Remote

Program: Air Force Graduate/Training Integration Management System (G/TIMS)

Clearance Level: Secret

Agency: US Air Force Air Education and Trainings Command (AETC)

Responsibilities:

• Formulates/defines specifications for enterprise level Microsoft .Net software solutions to deliver on premises and cloud-based solutions.
• Plan, implement, document, deploy, conduct maintenance, and requirements analyses for submitted Enhancement Requests (ERs) and Discrepancy Reports (DRs).
• Defines and ensures adherence to industry best practice coding and cybersecurity standards for development in accordance with AFI 63-101/20-101, Integrated Life Cycle Management.
• Evaluates new and existing software products.
• Engineer IT software solutions based upon G/TIMS requirements.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• 3+ years as a Lead Software Developer or Architect.
• 8+ years of experience in developing and implementing IT software solutions.
• 2+ years of Software Development experience in a cloud environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft .NET development using C#, including WinForms and ASP.Net development.
• Experienced in Object Oriented Languages & Concepts.
• Relational Database (SQL Server, Oracle) experience.
• Experience with technical documentation (review, edit, write, and update).
• Experience with ground-up system development (end-to-end system development), as well as support of live production systems.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Bachelor’s degree is desired.
• 8+ years of Software Development experience.
• Experience with Air Force or other DoD Network Environments.
• IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• DoD Secret Clearance.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Test Driven Development.
• Proficient in database management for efficient data handling.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
