Job Description
The Soft Goods Fabrication Technician is a core member of the Soft Goods team, focusing on the production, integration and finishing of Soft Goods components. A technician is expected to be a well-rounded generalist and will be expected to train in and assist in all aspects of the department.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Produce and modify parts and assemblies using both hand and power tools which conform to department quality guidelines
- Achieve deadlines by working in both team and individual settings with supervisors guidance
- Work with and around chemicals such as barge cement, epoxies, super glue, etc.
- Document build notes and production information in accordance with company and department guidelines
- Adhere to department and corporate safety regulations
- Train in departmental techniques relating to fabrication, finishing, patterning and integration
- High attention to detail and quality control
- Effective in time management
- Technical skills in areas such as cutting, processing and light assembly
- High manual dexterity and hand eye coordination
- Strong communication skills, both written and conversational
- Efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous fabrication experience preferred with both hand and power tools
- Preferred high color acuity
- Ability to work from heights
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs.
- Work environment is a warehouse/shop and involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following safety precautions.
- Work involves exposure to unusual elements, such as fumes, odors, and/or loud noises.
