Compensation:

• In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

We offer a sign-on bonus of $2,000: 50% at the time of hire (included with the 1st payroll processing) and 50% after 3 months of employment).

In this role, the Social Worker will conduct resource family assessments for relative and non-relative families and evaluate, approve foster/adopt homes.

Additionally, the Social Worker is responsible for:

• Orient, train and assess applicant families.
• Conduct training for clients on a variety of topics related to the services provided by the agency.
• Conduct assessments for applicants.
• Communicate needs, services and progress with the referring agency, service provider and parents.

Wayfinder’s Resource Family Approval (RFA) program in Northern California recruits, supports and prepares families, including relatives and non-related families, to move foster children toward permanent homes. We provide people interested in becoming resource families with orientation, training and assistance in completing the application process. We offer parent groups, and our Social Workers provide support in families’ homes. The program also provides supervised visitation between the child and birth family members and adoption services. As part of the RFA program, we provide Intensive Services Foster Care for children who need intensive treatment and behavioral supports or who have specialized health care needs.

• Master’s Degree from an accredited or state state-approved at school in social work or social welfare, marriage, family and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology or s, or ocial psychology.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
