1. Client Assessment and Support:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand tenants' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Provide support plans and interventions to address tenants' challenges, including mental health issues, domestic violence, substance abuse, and more.
2. Counseling and Guidance:
- Offer counseling and emotional support to tenants facing personal or family-related difficulties.
- Guide tenants in developing coping strategies and accessing appropriate community resources.
3. Community Resource Coordination:
- Collaborate with local agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations to link tenants with necessary services such as healthcare, financial aid, job training, and legal assistance.
- Maintain an updated directory of available resources and services.
4. Advocacy and Empowerment:
- Advocate on behalf of tenants to ensure their rights are protected and they have access to essential services.
- Empower tenants through education, workshops, and support groups aimed at enhancing life skills and self-sufficiency.
5. Crisis Intervention:
- Respond promptly to crisis situations within the housing community, offering immediate support and appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with emergency services and relevant authorities when necessary.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and services provided.
- Prepare reports on social work activities and outcomes for internal review and reporting purposes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
Licensing/Certification: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or eligibility for state licensure preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in social work, preferably in a community-based setting or with diverse populations.
Empathy and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from various backgrounds.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess complex situations, develop intervention plans, and implement effective solutions.
