Main Responsibilities Include:
Consultation for School:
- Consult with teachers/program managers regarding academic difficulties in the classroom
- Conduct systematized direct observation of students
- Act as 504 case manager
- Create and monitor data collection systems regarding behavior that is responsive to student need
- Provide 1:1 counseling for students and clients with social and emotional difficulty
- Conduct social skills groups
- Make DCF referrals when appropriate
- Lead crisis interventions and crisis response teams
- Work with families as a counselor or mediator as needed
- Connect with community resources and assist families in utilizing resources
- Valid CT School Social Worker or Counselor Licensure
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
