IDEAL CANDIDATES
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration or related field; a Master’s Degree is preferred
• 5-8 years of work-related experience
• Supervisory experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Successful completion of background investigation
The Social Services Director is responsible for the following:
Develops objectives and long-range goals for agency and monitors outcomes.
Develops and directs the execution of internal policies and procedures.
Collaborates with community and regional partners on community needs.
Maintains contact with state and federal government entities for legislative involvement and tracking.
Completes required agency and state plans within the mandated timeframes.
Develops strategies for determining budget in accordance with legal requirements and county board approval.
Approves all financial reports for state and grant funding.
Facilitates operation of personnel matters and execute supervisory function with assigned workers.
Completes annual employee evaluations.
Directs and carries out disciplinary action with the support of Human Resources.
Conduct management meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Starting Salary Range: $109,678.40 to $157,913.60 - Salary range is negotiable, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This position will receive paid vacation and sick time as well as, single health, dental and a $25,000 life insurance policy that are paid for by Clay County
