General Summary

Manage SOCIAL PROGRAMS. Develop framework, objectives, and performance metrics for new and existing SOCIAL PROGRAMS. Evolve programs based on client feedback and performance metrics review. Supervise the Social Programs Coordinator.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Manage Social Programs
    • Manage assessment and intake
    • Manage regular check ins with participants
    • Set up and schedule SOCIAL PROGRAMS
    • Facilitate SOCIAL PROGRAMS and/or train and manage volunteers or other project staff to facilitate SOCIAL PROGRAMS
    • Resolve participant conflicts in a timely, professional and respectful manner
  • Responsible for the supervision, training and development of the Social Programs Coordinator following all Meals on Wheels People Operations Procedures and Personnel Policies
  • Under the direction of the Strategic Plan, develop framework, objectives, and performance metrics for new and existing SOCIAL PROGRAMS
  • Supports Meals on Wheels People fundraising efforts and participate in fundraising efforts
  • Develops and maintains positive partnerships
  • Conducts BIPOC and/or immigrant and refugee volunteer and participant outreach
  • Evolve programs based on client feedback and performance metrics review
    • Manage the collection of client satisfaction surveys for SOCIAL PROGRAMS
    • Collaborate with Social Programming team members to evolve programs to improve outcomes for participants
  • Ensure integrity of data in participant data management system, update participant information as needed and correct inaccurate information as necessary
  • Provide basic technical system and user support by responding to calls, email and personal requests from clients participating in SOCIAL PROGRAMS
    • Assist clients with installation of necessary software and applications
    • Assist clients in the basic understanding of applications to engage in virtual socialization.
    • Offer guidance and help clients solve common technology problems
    • Assist in providing cybersecurity education to clients
  • Establish, maintain and increase client satisfaction through professional, courteous and caring service
  • Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution; document issues and follow up with clients and Site Manager or Client Services team as necessary
  • Responsible for recruiting, screening, registration and training volunteers to assist with SOCIAL PROGRAMS and client technology support
  • Complete all required administrative tasks as assigned
  • Participate in in-service training and attend required meetings
  • Support mission, vision, values and strategic plan of Meals on Wheels People, Inc.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education & Knowledge

  • Project management and/or social services experience preferred.

 

Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Bilingual/Bicultural English/Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian, Asian or African languages preferred
  • Minimum one year program development experience
  • Minimum one year group facilitation experience
  • Training in Intentional Peer Support preferred
  • Experience providing information and referral, preferably to seniors preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, computer applications and data entry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build trust and maintain constructive relationships across organizational boundaries
  • Must have excellent problem solving, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations including, minority, aging, low-income and disabled populations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of information

 

Any satisfactory combination of experience, training and/or education which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above qualifications.

 

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and personal transportation required
  • Ability to climb stairs to complete in-home assessments
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, 10 key and phone
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Minimal reaching, bending and stooping
  • Candidate must successfully pass the Meals on Wheels People pre-employment screening
