Social Media Intern

Founded in 2010, Pretty Alright Goods helps people say what they want to say through greeting cards and gifty goods that have a little bite and a lot of heart. We specialize in greeting cards, cocktail napkins, and other gift items to help you put words to life’s most important moments - birthdays, anniversaries, losses, graduations, weddings, and cute dog sightings.

We’re a small, hardworking team committed to making communication more personal. You can find Pretty Alright Goods in over 2000 gift stores and specialty retailers across the country.

Position Overview:

Are you a Social Media-savvy individual with a passion for creativity and storytelling? Are you up to date with all of the online trends and excited to innovate them? Pretty Alright Goods is seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to join our team. As our Social Media Intern, you will play a crucial role in elevating our online presence and engaging with our audience across Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, and more.

This is a hands-on position. Though you will be working in collaboration with our Content and Community Manager, you will be expected to be ready and willing to take the lead on all things Social Media in your first weeks on the job.

Responsibilities:

• Brainstorming and filming engaging Reel and TikTok content ideas that align with our brand identity and resonate with our target audience.
• Crafting and scheduling compelling posts for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook to increase brand awareness, sales, engagement, and follower growth.
• Monitoring Social Media channels for trends, comments, and messages, and engaging with our community in a timely and authentic manner.
• Collaborating with our creative team to develop visually appealing graphics and videos for Social Media platforms.
• Assisting in analyzing Social Media metrics and insights to optimize content performance and drive business objectives.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest Social Media trends, algorithms, and best practices to continuously improve our strategies.
• Bringing excitement and passion to our Social Media channels! We’re a mostly millennial office and are in great need of a young whippersnapper’s touch.

Requirements:

• A genuine passion for Social Media and its potential to impact small businesses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, including their features, tools, and algorithms.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a related field such as Marketing, Communications, or Digital Media.
