Coast Village Association is dedicated to enhancing Coast Village Road. As we continue to expand our online presence, we are seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join our team. This paid internship provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of Social Media marketing.
Position Overview:
The Social Media Intern will play a crucial role in executing our Social Media strategy across various platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about Social Media trends, has a strong understanding of creating content across platforms, and is eager to contribute ideas to enhance our online presence.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Develop engaging and shareable content for Social Media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Community Engagement: Monitor Social Media channels for comments, messages, and mentions. Engage with our online community by responding to inquiries and fostering positive interactions.
Campaign Execution: Assist in the planning and execution of Social Media campaigns to promote company events, product launches, and other initiatives.
Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze Social Media performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Social Media insights. Provide regular reports on key metrics and suggest improvements based on data.
Research: Stay up-to-date with Social Media trends, emerging platforms, and industry best practices. Provide recommendations for optimizing our Social Media strategy.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align Social Media efforts with overall marketing objectives. Collaborate with other departments to gather content and ensure consistent messaging.
Qualifications:
o Currently enrolled in or recent graduate with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
o Strong understanding of major Social Media platforms and their features.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content.
o Familiarity with Social Media analytics tools.
o Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) are a plus.
o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
o Eagerness to learn and stay updated on industry trends.
o Some knowledge of Santa Barbara and Coast Village Road
Duration and Compensation:
This is a paid internship position with the potential for expanding to more marketing roles.
Compensation: $16 - $18 an hour, based on experience (10+ hours per week). Students can obtain credit in addition to pay, if your school participates in intern programs.
