Social Media Content Specialist - NOT A REMOTE POSITION

Malicious Women Co. is a local, women-led business that strives to promote mental health advocacy through fun, unique, and barrier-pushing products.

Malicious Women Candle Co. is hiring an in house content creator! We’re looking for someone to carry out the creative vision for our brand, socials, and marketing campaigns. It’s important that our content creator is upbeat, has a bright personality, and a can-do attitude.

The content creator will work closely with the Director of Marketing to plan and execute marketing campaigns as well as regular content for marketing channels.

Schedule: 8:00am-3:30pm Monday through Thursday (30hrs/week)

Location: Alternate between the Snohomish retail store and warehouse

Requirements:

• Proficient in Canva
• Customer service experience
• Knowledge and experience in creating and editing video content for Social Media
• Be comfortable in front of the camera as you’ll be the primary face of the social accounts

Preferred but not required:

• Shopify experience
• Experience creating content for product-based businesses
• Experience planning content and marketing campaigns
• Knowledge and experience on best practices for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest
• Knowledge and experience in Community Management
• Ability to create written content (email marketing)

• Ability to self-manage their schedule and projects
• Be creative and energetic
• Take direction well from leadership but be willing to speak up and contribute ideas and suggestions
• Proactively complete assigned tasks and projects to stay ahead of schedule

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Record, edit, and post daily content for TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram
• Daily community engagement (DM’s and comments)
• Create Pins for Pinterest
• Plan content calendars for all marketing channels
• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing on marketing campaigns, launch promotions, and other marketing activities
• Plan and write email campaigns
• Gather UGC from social platforms to repurpose
• Create graphics as needed in Canva
• Meet with the team and Director of Marketing as needed
