Job Description: Program Mentor
All Staff are required to follow all policies and procedures of Casa Bella, as well as other relevant policies and procedures. All employees should conduct themselves in a manner that demonstrates a sincere and conscious effort to comply with state and federal standards. The individual must take responsibility for ensuring that he/she/they are knowledgeable about and capable of carrying out all compliance policies and procedures relevant to their job description and area of responsibility and for complying with all standards established by Casa Bella.
Duties
- Ensure safety of all clients.
- Provide day-to-day, on-the-ground care to clients in the facility.
- Maintain integrity of the program.
- Ensure clients are adhering to their schedule, including program and external commitments.
- Ensure clients are following program rules and guidelines.
- Check-in and interact with client throughout the day as needed.
- Facilitate medication self-administration process, including but no limited to observing self-
administration and documentation in Electronic Health Record.
- Collect supervised urinalysis (UA) samples.
- Take vitals when indicated (residential only).
- Observe clients and communicate behaviors to the team.
- Record comprehensive shift notes.
- Input additional documentation in Electronic Health Record as assigned.
- Supervise and drive clients to and from appointments and recovery meetings as assigned.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of all non-bedroom areas in facility.
- Communicate facility needs to Program Manager as they arise.
- Complete all items on the Program Mentor checklist, including but not limited to: checking
chores, rides, medication counts, routine environmental cleaning of high touch surfaces, facility organization, overnight room checks, facilitating group activities, refrigerator temperature logs, UAs, breathalyzing, etc.
- Assisting Program Manager with the admissions process as delegated, including but not limited to: belongings searches and organization, client intake paperwork, orienting clients to program and facility, orient the client to the program rules and guidelines, input medications into Electronic Health Record and complete Electronic Health Record profile.
- Facilitate group activities.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Attend all trainings.
- Perform comprehensive shift changes.
- Additional tasks as delegated by Program Manager.
- Overnight only:
o Thirty minute room checks
o Medication inventory,counting,and reporting
Organizing facility and office space
o Making copies of staff and program materials
Competencies
- Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses common in the population served, including but not limited
to: substance use, anxiety, depressive, trauma, mood, and personality disorders.

Requirements
- Part-time or full-time position
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with direct client care in substance abuse and/or mental health
treatment or related field preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
