We are immediately hiring full snubbing crews for 170k stand alone rig assist and 150k rig assist snubbing units!

OCCUPATION: Snubbing Hand
The Snubbing Hand is part of the crew that works on a snubbing and is responsible for servicing oil and gas wells. The duties of the Snubbing Hand include assisting in rigging-up and rigging-down the unit, assisting rig crews, and other functions specified by the customer or well operator. All duties are to be performed according to standard operating procedures in order to maximize the safety of all personnel at the work site and to perform the task most efficiently.
  • Lift, operate, rig-up and down the components of the snubbing unit and other equipment used on the location
  • Operate tongs, elevators, and other related tools and equipment
  • Physically load and unload pipe or other materials without the use of tools or hoist equipment
  • Sets hydraulic jacks, handles pads/boards and assists in attaching the guy wires to the anchor
  • Assists in picking up or laying down tubing, manually lifting the tubing from the rack onto the work floor or vice versa
  • Reports any safety hazards, accidents or maintenance issues to the rig supervisor
  • Ensures that work carried out is in compliance with company policies and procedures and according to safety regulations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • CDL preferred, but not required
  • 1+ years of experience with Pressure Control
  • Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude/ ability
  • Demonstrated work experience with hydraulic systems
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand oral and written instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to take apart and put together equipment per detailed specifications
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
OCCUPATION: Snubbing Operator
The Snubbing Operator will help his/her assigned crews into the field at the start of the workday. This will include finding crew-hands for short-handed crews, handing out supplies, confirming each employee is fit for duty, etc. All duties are to be performed according to standard operating procedures in order to maximize the safety of everyone at the worksite and to efficiently perform the task.
  • Operate snubbing unit, ensuring safety
  • Assist and supervise crews which may include problem solving, employee performance management and training
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed and safety is first priority
  • Ensure location cleanliness, including Company trucks and dog houses
  • Track inventory on location: ancillary consumables, saver subs, etc. When inventory is low, coordinate with the Rig/Snubbing Supervisor obtain additional needed supplies.
  • Make certain all accidents are reported immediately to the Rig/Snubbing Supervisor and is responsible for full cooperation of employees involved for any necessary,
  • Exercise stop work obligation when necessary
  • Facilitate location set up and take down, ensuring the proper set up of equipment
  • Coordinate and/or perform ongoing preventative maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Ensure all company owned equipment is kept clean and in working order
  • Assist with the supervision of all rig-ups and subsequent operations on all locations for the duration of all work performed by the company
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed by all employees
  • Recognize problems and improvements needed and pass these onto the Rig/Snubbing Supervisor
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company
  • Comply with and promote all trainings in the FortiSafe Certified program
  • Properly “rig up” and “rig down” location equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety practices all equipment including, rigs, pumps, power swivels, catwalks, company vehicles, etc.
  • Manage of all “yard” procedures when the pump comes in/out of the Fortis yard
  • Ensure training of employees of all equipment (rig, pump, swivel, catwalk, etc.)
  • Work with the Rig/Snubbing Supervisor to ensure all equipment is properly maintained according to Fortis PM specifications
  • All other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent

  • 3+ years of experience with Pressure Control
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic internet usage
  • Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude/ ability
  • Demonstrated work experience with hydraulic systems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, visitors, vendors and other employees
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand oral and written instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to take apart and put together equipment per detailed specifications
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
OCCUPATION: Snubbing Supervisor
The Snubbing Supervisor will provide hands-on technical supervision and operating support, installation, repair and maintenance of snubbing units and equipment on customer’s locations during completions, workover operations, and trouble-shooting situations as required. Must have a willingness to promote the company, a can-do attitude towards job duties, a willingness to work long hours in inclement weather and varying conditions, ability to drive long distances and follow safety and procedural guidelines from corporate and our customers.
All duties are to be performed according to standard operating procedures in order to maximize the safety of everyone at the worksite and to efficiently perform the task.
  • Perform a variety of tasks associated with site operations
  • Operate snubbing unit, ensuring safety
  • Assist and supervise crews which may include problem solving, employee performance management and training
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed and safety is first priority
  • Ensure location cleanliness, including Company trucks and dog houses
  • Track and maintain inventory on location: ancillary consumables, saver subs, etc.
  • Make certain all accidents are reported immediately to all parties
  • Cooperate with incident investigations, potentially leading
  • Exercise stop work obligation when necessary
  • Facilitate location set up and take down, ensuring the proper set up of equipment
  • Complete new JSA’s as necessary for operations
  • Train and supervise crews to properly perform equipment inspections
  • Perform any necessary equipment inspections prior to operations
  • Ensure crews perform all necessary inspections
  • Supervise and assist in the Rig-up//Rig down of all equipment
  • Perform Snubbing unit inspections prior to starting pressure testing operations
  • Supervise and assist with Snubbing function/pressure testing
  • Supervise and assist with rigging up any third party services
  • Ensure all equipment certifications are present and current
  • Work with customers to determine scope of operations
  • Coordinate and/or perform ongoing preventative maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Ensure all company owned equipment is kept clean and in working order
  • Assist with the supervision of all rig-ups and subsequent operations on all locations for the duration of all work performed by the company
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed by all employees
  • Recognize problems and improvements needed
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company
  • Comply with and promote all trainings in the FortiSafe Certified program
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety practices all equipment
  • Ensure training of employees of all equipment
  • Work with the Rig Supervisor to ensure all equipment is properly maintained according to Fortis PM specifications
  • Properly check in/out all necessary equipment for the job with the “Shop Mechanic”
  • Maintain all Company property, including truck, service tools, phone, computer equipment, etc. in a clean and ready state
  • Must be available and willing to travel to such locations as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs
  • All other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
