This newly created position will work cross functionally in an assembly line start-up at our new Cedar Rapids, IA facility.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to focus on the setup, launch, and support of our new refrigeration assembly line and associated equipment.
The right individual in this position will manage the planning, execution, delivery, and startup of new assembly line. They will also coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the project's success and quality. The responsibilities of the role will evolve from commissioning through ongoing support of the production line.
Primary Planning and Start Up Responsibilities:
- Provide the detailed input to project plans, schedules, and capital budgets.
- Evaluate the entire assembly line layout. This includes assessing the arrangement of workstations, material flow, and ergonomic considerations.
- Develop detailed work instructions for the manufacturing process, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Establish time standards using motion analysis through the evaluation of current and new processes.
- Generate required process data to drive ERP and MES systems
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing engineering team members to plan, purchase, install and implement efficient use of resources throughout the manufacturing process.
- Complete, or coordinate completion, of safety risk assessment and safety lifecycle through development, installation, and start-up of new equipment and processes.
- Perform quantitative process assessments & process capability analysis to validate production readiness of equipment and process
Primary Ongoing Production Responsibilities:
- Evaluate assembly line process monitoring, analyze and identify process elements not in control and lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Review OEE, Labor and process efficiency, identify opportunities for improvement and lead continuous improvement projects.
- Review production data and identify need for new equipment. Support capital project with necessary data for justification.
- Maintain ERP data to support production through design and process changes.
- Provide support to cross functional staff to sustain production process with respect to quality, safety, reliability and design.
- Monitor capacity of current state and support growth planning with respect to equipment and process requirements.
- Update work instruction and time standards as required for process and product changes.
- Continued layout update and maintenance.
