Snack Bar Attendant

The Poolside Pub Server is responsible for food and beverage service in the Lakewood Country Club dining and pool venues. The right candidate must be friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. This job calls for a professional that likes to work in a great environment with the elite of Rockville, Maryland. The Poolside Pub Server is responsible for serving prepared foods to restaurants participants; ensure a successful execution of restaurant meals and service that all participants are satisfied with.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide members and their guests with friendly, efficient, and memorable service with the main focus on hospitality.
• Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control regulations and laws. Check identification of those appearing under age and deny service when appropriate.
• Monitor individual consumption and alert management to situations of concern.
• Follow the steps of service as indicated by supervisor.
• Deliver food orders as directed.
• Ensure proper sequencing/timing with kitchen, report any delays or problems to supervisor.
• Serve each course using proper techniques.
• Deliver various food courses during banquets and special club events.
• Participate in service briefings to ensure product knowledge.
• Assume responsibility of side work and server station maintenance.
• Complete special assignments as requested by supervisor(s)

REQUIREMENTS

• A friendly and service oriented professional demeanor and style.
• Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills.
• High tolerance for kitchen temperatures.
• Previous food and beverage experience preferred.
• Background in customer service.
• Ability to foresee customer needs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• 1-2 year wait servicing experience preferred.
• The ability to read, write, and execute basic math skills.
• Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
• Push, pull or lift up to 25 pounds.
• Able to be exposed to outside weather conditions.
