Small Claims Clerk

Summary

This position pays $15 per hour.Provides support for generating, approving, filing, and representing the Company in all Small Claims proceeding; and completion monthly reports, logs, or tasks as assigned by the Small Claims Manager.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and submits Small Claims packets (including printing of documents and preparation of deficiency balances) for assigned dealerships.
• Completes all court documents necessary to file Small Claims.
• Corresponds with lots on items/information needed for approving Small Claims packets.
• Provides the required documentation and customer information to the Process Server in order to assure “Good Service”.
• This applies to non-attorney assisted states.
• Updates all case information and case expenses in a timely manner as outlined by the Small Claims Manager.
• Represent the Dealerships in Small Claims Court.
• This applies to non-attorney assisted states.
• Negotiate payment plans, total judgment amounts, and interest rates with Judgment Debtors, as required by the court.
• This applies to non-attorney assisted states.
• Regularly reviews judgments in order to file Garnishments and Garnishment renewals.
• This applies to non-attorney assisted states.
• Skip traces Judgment Debtors who have quit their jobs in order to establish new employments.
• This applies to non-attorney assisted states.
• Maintains working relationships with the managers that they assist in Small Claims.
• Provide weekly reports (W.A.G.) to the Small Claims Manager.
• Provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
