Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent in this position is responsible for a section or area of slots, as assigned, and directs the activities of slot employees on an assigned shift when acting as Slot Shift Supervisor.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Ensure the assigned area is neat and clean.
- Monitor slot equipment in order to maintain proper use and maintenance.
- Direct all slot personnel (floor and technician) on an assigned shift according to proper policies and procedures.
- Work casino floor slot areas greeting and developing "new" players as well as existing players and accommodating their needs within program guidelines to ensure player satisfaction and encourage return visits.
- Ensure all slot personnel is in compliance with Title 31 requirements.
- Monitor and pay jackpots.
- Supply support operations as needed.
- Monitor and help maintain all change machines.
- Enroll gaming patrons in the player's club.
- Handle guest complaints and disputes fairly and with the best interest of the hotel/casino in mind.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must have ability to:
- Communicate effectively at all times, with customers as well as all levels of employees.
- Observe and direct actions of subordinates, as well as the ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency in order to pay off jackpots.
- Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
- Effectively and efficiently move around the work area.
- Reach and lift up to 25 pounds in order to fill and maintain change machines.
- Spend majority of shift on the casino floor, and is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise levels, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
Requirements
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated familiarity with Slot Operations. Knowledge of labor analysis, floor coverage and Title 31 Compliance. Knowledge of how slot machines operate. These skills and abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of two years of experience in slot operations and one year of supervisory experience. For Dual Rated incumbents, one year of experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
- Attend required training sessions offered by Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee's department.
- Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
- Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management
