Form of workThe Slide Attendant position is a seasonal summer position.
Slide Attendants are responsible for the safety and well-being of all who use the facility. Dispatch riders from the top of the slide, monitors the Sprayground area to maintain a safe environment; enforces all rules and policies of the Swim and Fitness Center to prevent accidents; help maintain cleanliness on and around pool decks, grounds, locker rooms, and lobby areas; administers first aid to individuals when needed; provides customer service; works under the supervision of a Pool Supervisor. Slide Attendants regularly participate in training and are required to maintain certifications (listed below) throughout their employment. Must be able to work a varied schedule, including morning, weekend and evening shifts. Performs other duties as assigned.Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications (American Red Cross preferred). Must possess basic swimming skills and desire to train to become a Lifeguard. Candidates must successfully complete a Swimming Skills Evaluation prior to being hired.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience working with youth preferred.
EDUCATION:
High school student and must be at least 16 years of age.Employment Type: Temporary
