JOB SUMMARY
• Provides technical assistance to patients, caregivers and medical director for continuing operation or replacement of APAP, BiPAP and CPAP machines
• Provides patients with correct supplies according to insurance guidelines
• Refits masks and answers any questions the patient has about the operation, care and maintenance of PAP machine and accessories
• Adjusts machines per physician orders or to address patient complaints of discomfort with therapy
• Provides physician with written assessment of non-working machines for replacement
• Provides usage reports at physician request
• Tests, cleans, and resets returned machines for resale or loan.
• Returns non-working machines to the manufacturer or sets the patient up with a loaner machine until the machine is repaired or replaced
• Swaps out masks for patients having problems
• Obtains verification and precertification of insurance
• Assists walk-in customers with replacement supplies
• Back up on incoming phone calls and payment collections
• Assists Business Coordinator with inventory control of all DME with PAR levels
• Registers patients in Cerner and keys charges as required
• Assists in accurate scheduling of patients in Cerner
Minimum Requirements:
• High School or equivalent
• Typing 30wpm
• 2 years of DME experience or equivalent
