GovFirst is assisting our client withrecruiting a Full-time, Direct Hire Site/CivilStaff Engineer position in the Site/Civil division of their dynamic engineeringand surveying firm.
The successful Site/CivilStaff Engineer candidate will assist in developing site assessment andinvestigation reports, site plan and site utility design, stormwater managementand permitting for a wide range of Site/Civil specific projects within the realestate / land development, infrastructure, transportation, energy, healthcare,education, and government sectors. Site/Civil Staff Engineer duties willinclude preparation of Civil 3D AutoCAD drawings, HydroCAD analysis, basis ofdesign reports and technical specifications. Additionally, this position willperform periodic special inspections during construction, as well as siteassessment or investigations of existing site conditions. This position requireswork primarily out of South Plainfield, NJ office.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- 1-4 years Site/Civil engineering experience
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Ability to work with other engineers on multi-discipline teams
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing and prioritizing with attention to detail
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and assignments with competing deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers, clients, and contractors
- Excellent written and verbal communication as well as strong design skills
- Motivated and excited to grow with a medium-sized firm and the potential to advance with the company
- Driver's license and reliable means of transportation
- Undergo a background check (required)
- Some familiarity with the International Building Code
Some familiarity with NJ or NYC DEP regulations and standards - Some familiarity with NJ, NYS, or NYC DOT standards
- Continually required to stand, walk, and sit
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Continually required to talk or hear
- Continually required to utilize visual acuity to operate office equipment
- Occasionally required to bend, stoop, and kneel
