As the Ripley Plant HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing Human Resources functions within the plant. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs to foster a positive work environment and support the overall success of the plant. The position of Human Resources Manager will oversee the personnel activities including employment, salary and wage administration, safety, employee counseling and personnel records as well as administering company functional rules and procedures under management guidance.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to implement HR strategies that align with the company's overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify staffing needs and manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and compliance with Marmon policies.
  • Nurture a positive working environment and enhance respectful workplace behavior.
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Administer safety program and ensure training is kept up to date.
  • Administer worker compensation cases and ensure reporting in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Support HR Generalist in payroll processing and support benefit administration in conjunction with the Benefits & Payroll Specialist
  • Recommend and coordinate employee training activities.
  • Generate and analyze HR Metrics reports and provide them to management.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits.

Qualifications, Skills, Competencies
  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment with proven growth record
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, OSHA regulations, payroll, and benefit administration
  • Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills inclusive of Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Self-motivated

Education and/or Experience
BS degree in HR Management or similar degree, or 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
