The position requires someone who has energy, a happy demeanor and strong leadership skills to nurture, support and empower our children each morning and afternoon while also coordinating our staff team with a balance of empathy, accountability, role modeling and hands-on work.

You are a communicator, a listener and a patient answerer of questions. You are detail-oreinted (you noticed we misspelled "oriented"). You have the flexibility and calm nature that allows you to go with the flow and ride the whitewater rapids that can come with the job. You are even keeled, working well with both administrative and programmatic work, both people and numbers, both concrete policies and the gray shades of human nature. You can speak eloquently to parents and administrative staff while also having the skill to send a child into a fit of giggles.
- Works with Associate and Program Directors to coordinate program areas, ensure high quality programs.
- Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed.
Availability: Programs at this site run 6:15am-8:30am Monday through Friday. Options for hours duing after school and school days out are available. Bi-weekly director meetings (virtual options available). Full time options will be open for summer. Please be available to work at least 3 morning shifts each week and Monday-Friday after school
Qualifications:
- Be 21 years or older
- Supply documentation of current certification or become certified in CPR and First Aid.
- AND have at least one of the following
- A four-year degree in a related field OR
- 48 semester hours of college credit AND 910 hours of experience in a licensed program since turning 18 OR
- 5640 hours of experience working directly with school-age children with a group of 4 or more unrelated school age children.
- Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by CO childcare licensing regulations.
Salary range is $19-22/hour. Position is part time up to 28 hours per week (more available during school breaks) and we offer a 10%+ differential for staff bilingual in Spanish and English.
Location: various elementary schools in the Weld RE-5J school district in the Milliken/Johnstown area.

Part-Time employees also receive paid sick time at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
