Job Description
Salary: $20.00-$22.00 hourly
- General Description: The Site Coordinator assists the Program Manager in the day-to-day operations and administration of the Hypothermia Shelter by coordinating and monitoring residential coverage and adherence to policies and procedures of operating a Hypothermia Shelter.
Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervise Direct Support Professionals on site.
- Assist with training, staff development and on-going performance reviews for all staff.
- Build and maintain quality working relationships with colleagues, external and internal stakeholders.
- Develop a positive rapport with each resident through routine contact and communication.
- Assist in the implementation of data inputs and outputs by working with the Program Manager and Administrative Staff.
- Assist in the coordination and scheduling of onsite SPDATs and other needed assessments.
- Report serious incidents, allegations, and sensitive program information to the Program Manager immediately.
- Complete incident reports as needed per DHS and TCP policies.
- Respond to immediate client needs, help de-escalate crisis situations, help resolve conflicts and enforce program rules.
- Assist the Program Manager in strategizing program operations.
- Participate in program team meetings, staff meetings, supervision meetings as required and requested per contracts.
- Participate in program quality improvement activities that improve program policies, procedures, and client and program outcomes.
- Adhere to agency policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and manage program operations in collaboration with the Program Manager.
- Assist the Program Manager in completing the staff schedule.
- Other duties as assigned
The shift hours are Monday-Friday 6pm-12am & 12am-8am/Saturday-Sunday 6pm-8am
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent and 1 years of direct social services experience, or
- HS Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of work experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with vulnerable populations and the related issues of addiction and mental illness strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with DC’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
- Knowledge of issues facing homeless or otherwise vulnerable populations.
- Values commensurate with a community committed to providing inclusive services without regard to race, religion, physical or mental ability, sexual orientation, or gender identity
- Experience with, or capacity to learn, data visualization techniques and software
