The Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing at Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for the Simulation Hospital and Skills Lab Coordinator. The primary purpose of the Simulation Hospital and Skills Lab Coordinator is to oversee the daily operations of the Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing Simulation Hospital and Skills Lab.
Duties and Responsibilities
Health Simulation Clinical Responsibilities 60%
- Facilitates student Simulation Hospital experiences including Simulation Scenarios, which includes technology to run simulations.
- Maintains clinical competence.
- Collaborates with the College of Arts & Sciences and others in support of providing technology and media resources for classroom and laboratory instruction.
- Assist with lab set up for skills check off for pre-licensure nursing courses and Certified Nurse Aid courses.
- Represents the school to internal and external communities of interest which includes tours of the facility.
- Maintains records of faculty and student usage of the Simulation Hospital.
- Supervises student employees who work in the Simulation Hospital.
Health Simulation Budget Responsibilities 25%
- Maintains inventory of the Simulation Hospital and Skills Lab materials and supplies.
- Recommends budget for the Simulation Hospital and Skills Lab.
- Assists the IRBSON Director to identify grants to support the Simulation Hospital. This responsibility includes helping securing quotes for materials and supplies for the Simulation Hospital and completing grant reports.
Miscellaneous 10%
- Proctors the TEAS entrance testing for pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing applicants. Assists faculty with test proctoring, as needed.
- Serve on University and IRBSON committees as designated.
Other Duties 5%
- Other duties as assigned by the IRBSON Director.
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience -
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required.
Preferred Education and Experience -
- Master of Science in Nursing Degree
- 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility
