Description:
Support one of two single-INT teams on site at Fort Shafter in USARPAC G2. Respond to tasking and collection to provide exploitation of data into intelligence reporting, which feeds into all-source intelligence production, corroboration of other -INT reporting, and support to operations. SIGINT analysts provide analysis of signals intelligence and TechSIGINT data to support tactical understanding of the operational environment, track assigned targets within assigned portfolio in AOR, and fill intelligence gaps.
Duties:
- Applies geographic information science in response to intelligence needs using SIGINT data collected from foreign systems.
- This includes the application of temporal and spatial thinking in interpreting SIGINT data in geographic context.
- Such interpretation requires skills, knowledge, and abilities drawn from multiple disciplines in order to undertake spatial data manipulation, spatial data analysis, spatial statistical analysis and spatial modeling.
- Have a fundamental knowledge of geospatial SIGINT data, analytical methods, and visualization, in addition to technical knowledge of target technologies.
- Use the various systems and tools that facilitate spatial analysis.
- Maintain or support maintenance of reference knowledge databases and dissemination of intelligence.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience
- Degree in geospatial information systems, geography, or a related field is preferred, but a degree in any field is acceptable.
- Relevant experience must be in geospatial analysis and/or geospatial information systems. In addition, may include work in an area directly related to an NSA mission (e.g., collection, cyber and intelligence analysis) and/or a similar mission in the IC or DoD. Formal/informal leadership experience is preferred.
This full-time position is Monday through Friday and operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Limited travel may be required.
