Position: Sights and Electro-Optical Sensors Electrical Engineer
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Type: Long term contract
Pay: 40-50/hour

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotics.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Current experience in designing analog, digital, and mixed circuits, including part selection.
- Proficiency in schematic capture software, with preference for PADS Designer.
- Familiarity with circuit simulation tools and design reviews.
- Expertise in PCB layout requirements and design reviews.
- Knowledge of Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) manufacturing processes.
- Ability to use test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyzer, current probes, etc.).
- Detail-oriented troubleshooting skills using schematics.
- Proficient in serial communication interfaces.
- Capability to provide regular status updates in written or presentation format.
- Willingness to travel to supplier and government sites.
- Secret clearance capability is desirable.
- Ability to work inside tanks and military vehicles (ASR required).
- Occasional lifting and carrying of test equipment (up to 30 lbs).
Desired Knowledge:
- Engineering CCA design, development, and analysis software.
- Familiarity with PSPICE, PADS Layout, CAM350 or CAMView.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as Matlab, MATHCAD, Visual Studio Suite.
- Understanding of IPC and MIL standards.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC design practices/standards for CCAs and harnesses.
- Familiarity with various sensors: Sighting Systems, Gyroscopes, Position Sensors, Rate Sensors, Motors, Cameras (Day/Thermal), RADAR, LiDAR, encoders, etc.
- Motor control expertise, including PWM and PID.
- Understanding of standard interfaces: Ethernet, USB, CAN, RS422/485, SSI, etc.
- Knowledge of video interfaces: SDI, DVI, HDMI, RS-170, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages: C, C++, C#.
- Experience in servo control.
- Knowledge of microprocessor-based products, including processors (NXP family), chipsets, memory and bus interfaces, networking standards.
- Microcontrollers programming expertise.
- Familiarity with typical test equipment including Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, DMM, Function Generators, Labview, etc.
