Position Summary
The role of the Shuttle Driver reports to the Safety and Security Manager. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This position will assist with transporting patients, visitors, and staff to various areas of the center.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients
- Safely transport visitors, patients, and staff from parking lots to requested entrances
- Maintain vehicles and report issues to leadership
- Assist with maintenance of hospital grounds
- Enforce applicable policies, as required
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED, required.
- Licensure and Certifications: Driver’s license and auto liability insurance, required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in a security officer role, preferred.
Work Environment: This position will spend approximately 80% of the time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs and 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will serve a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population. This position will be exposed to communicable disease and bodily fluids.
