Salary Description: From $15.00 an hour

- Schedule: Full Time, Days
- Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent Evansville
- Location: Evansville, Indiana
Transport people and/or participants to various care services and/or participant residence while maintaining the assigned schedule.
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner. Inform supervisor of any unusual situations or accidents immediately.
- Assist riders entering and exiting the vehicle and/or location/building. Comply with all traffic safety rules and regulations.
- Assist the department supervisor with the daily activities of the Transportation department.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle daily for cleaning and safety issues. Maintain accurate logs per required standards.
- Follow established schedules, adjust schedules to meet unanticipated changes, and determine safest
and most efficient pickup and delivery routes. - Drive specially equipped van to deliver physically limited persons and/or participants to various
destinations; assure that wheelchair lifts and tie down equipment are properly operated and that riders
and/or participants are delivered to appointments in a timely manner.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Drivers License specializing in Commercial credentialed from the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. With acceptable driving record. Required.
- Chauffeur preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
