Job Summary:
The Cambria Hotel in Detroit, Michigan, is seeking a dynamic and service-focused individual to join our team as a Shuttle Driver and Bellman. This unique position combines the responsibilities of safely transporting guests in our shuttle service and providing exceptional bellman services to enhance their overall stay experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Shuttle Driver Duties:
- Operate the hotel shuttle in a safe and efficient manner, providing transportation for guests to and from designated locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the hotel shuttle.
- Bellman Duties:
- Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with luggage, providing a warm and professional first impression.
- Escort guests to their rooms, explaining hotel amenities and services along the way.
- Offer assistance with guest inquiries, including providing information about local attractions, restaurants, and transportation options.
- Maintain the lobby area and entrance in a clean and organized manner.
- Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating and fulfilling guests' needs with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Communication:
- Effectively communicate with hotel staff to coordinate shuttle services and ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and colleagues.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned
- Valid driver's license with a chauffeur's license and a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a Shuttle Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Physical ability to lift and transport luggage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with the Detroit area and its attractions is a plus.
- Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
- Must be able to lift to fifty pounds at times.
