As a Sales Consultant in our showroom, you will play a pivotal role in specifying uber-luxury door hardware, lighting, and plumbing fixtures for the most demanding clients in the region. We understand that for our clients, designing a home is a special event, and we strive to make the product specification experience truly exceptional. Our services cater to some of the most exceptional residential properties in North Texas.
Role and Responsibilities:
Consultation: Collaborate with designers, architects, custom builders, and homeowners in our showroom, offering expert guidance and product recommendations.
Plan Review: Examine architectural plans to ensure the form, fit, and function of selected products align with the project's vision.
Product Selection: Provide customers with a curated selection of products that match their vision and budget.
Order Processing: Enter sales orders into our company's software and create digital proposals to meet customer expectations.
On-Site Visits: Conduct job site visits as needed to assist with product specification and quantity verification.
Project Management: Oversee the services and products supplied to the job site, collaborating closely with designers and builders to ensure on-time project completion.
Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term, trusted relationships with builders, designers, architects, and homeowners.
Candidate Qualities:
Customer-Centric: A genuine desire to serve with a "teacher's" heart and ensure positive customer experiences.
Consultative Sales: Ability to foster trust and develop long-term repeat business through a consultative selling style.
Effective Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly when engaging affluent customers.
Professionalism: Maintain a polished appearance and attire while representing the company.
Product Knowledge: Comfortable communicating the value of various product lines and multitasking effectively.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience: Previous experience with high-end luxury home goods sales is a plus, as is familiarity with door hardware and plumbing fixtures.
Position Details:
Hybrid Role: This position combines inside and outside sales, including visits to custom home sites and industry networking events.
Compensation: We initiate Sales Consultants with a competitive straight salary (exempt from overtime) until they are sufficiently trained. Upon achieving consistent monthly sales, we transition to a lower hourly base (non-exempt from overtime) plus unlimited commission, typically within 6 months to two years.
