Job Summary: Showroom Sales Associate

We recently opened a beautiful new showroom in downtown Monrovia and are looking for brand evangelists to champion our product & help bring Semihandmade to even more folks. We have exciting partnerships coming up with amazing designers and are looking for the right person to help make our customers' dreams a reality.
We are seeking a talented, customer-centric Sales Associate based in our Monrovia showroom to join our team and help contribute to the company’s growth. As a Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue by identifying and securing new business opportunities. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers in exploring our products, while ensuring a positive showroom experience. The ideal candidate will have sales experience, excellent communication skills, a passion for customer satisfaction, and a strong understanding of the products on display.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Actively seek out new prospects through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and online research.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs, providing product information, and offering tailored solutions. Including design firms and contractors.
- Pipeline Management: Manage and update sales pipeline regularly, keeping accurate records of interactions and progress using CRM tools.
- Achieving Targets: Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets to maximize commission earnings.
- Customer Engagement:
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the showroom.
- Assist customers in understanding product features, benefits, and specifications.
- Provide personalized product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.
- Answer in-person and online customer inquiries and provide accurate information about products and services.
- Take online and in-person appointments to help educate our customers on our offering, guiding them through steps to purchase.
- Showroom Maintenance:
- Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Arrange and display products in an appealing manner to attract customers.
- Monitor and replenish samples on the showroom floor.
- Queue Management
- Ensure that customer inquiries are being responded to in a timely manner
- Answer incoming phone calls & provide general information
- Maintain constant contact & appropriate follow-up with showroom opportunities to close sales.
- Customer Feedback:
- Collect and relay customer feedback to the management team.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the showroom layout, product offerings, and customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven Sales Experience. Demonstrated success in a commission-based sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of cabinetry products and the ability to convey this information to customers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-Motivation. Ability to work independently, set goals, and manage time effectively to achieve targets.
- Resilience. A positive attitude and resilience in the face of challenges, with the ability to learn from setbacks and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Customer-Centric Approach. Prioritize customer satisfaction and build long-term relationships by understanding and addressing customer needs.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Shopify, Netsuite, Front, and Talkdesk preferable.
Compensation:
This is an hourly role – the target compensation is 23/hr with a competitive commission structure.
Working Conditions:
This position is based in our Monrovia showroom and is scheduled for Tuesday-Saturday.
