Training Position Showroom, Architecture and Engineer Sales Associate for Plumbing Products Northern Va, D.C. and Maryland $70, 000 to 150,000
Job Description: As a Showroom, Architecture and Engineer Sales Associate Trainee, you will be taught to promote our range of plumbing products to architects, engineers and showrooms within your assigned territory. Your goal will be to increase sales, build strong relationships with customers, and identify new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and service the existing customer accounts in your assigned territory.
Secure job specifications of identified accounts.
Develop and establish new accounts in your assigned territory.
Engage in ?pull through? marketing with tradesmen including showroom sales personnel, interior designers, architects, owner/developers, facilities manager, builders, general contractors and plumbing contractors.
Introduce new products and present current product promotions to customers in assigned territory.
Follow-up within one month on all sales leads provided to you by the company or its manufacturers.
Make calls in your assigned territory necessary to promote products and pursue product specifications.
Maintain current and working knowledge of all products.
Assist in warranty service of products sold.
Establish customer products and sales programs and stocking distributors for product.
Attend, participate and/or work industry-related trade shows, manufacturer?s training sessions, national sales meetings, educational seminars and regular meetings for professional associations as suggested and approved by Sales Manager
Travel with Regional or National Sales Managers in assigned territory for the manufacturers represented by the company.
Participate in regular company-wide in-house sales and product training sessions.
Report current business climate and future trends in assigned territory to Sales Manager.
Assist in setting annual sales goals and annual budgets for assigned territory.
Participate in territory reviews as scheduled by Sales Manager
Manage your expense account in a way that is consistent with RMI values responsibly.
Maintain a safe driving record.
Skills / Qualifications:
· Ability to build rapport with clients
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
· Deadline and Detail-oriented
· Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
· Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields encouraged but not required
· Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
