Showboat Branson Belle - Foods, Galley Team Member, Full Time

This is a Full Time Seasonal position that begins 3/04/2024 and ends 12/31/2024.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Summary: While guests enjoy scenic views of Table Rock Lake our Showboat Branson BelleGalley Team Membersare hard at work behind the scenes creating delicious meals. Whether you have been in a kitchen setting for years or are just honing the culinary craft, a career as a Galley Team Member will advance your experience level. Working in our fast-paced galley you will be responsible for, but not limited to: preparing salads, plating entrees, kitchen sanitation, dishwashing, and supporting other members of the team in various ways. Preparing and cooking for each two-hour cruise takes immense teamwork. Applicants are expected to be adept to working in confined spaces and exhibit a professional attitude with a focus on excellent guest service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Reads menu to estimate food requirements.
• Adjusts thermostat controls to regulate the temperature of ovens.
• Measures and mixes ingredients according to the recipe to prepare salads, sauces, and desserts.
• Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking.
• Portions food on serving plates, adds gravies and sauces, and garnishes servings to fill orders.
• Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use.
• Bakes bread, rolls, cakes, and pastry.
• Clean work area, sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans, and trays.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and trash carts.
• Removes trash and garbage and places it in its designated containers.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work area.
• Loads or unloads trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food.
• Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
• Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Reads and interprets written information.
• Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.

• Must be comfortable working on a moving vessel away from land.
• Able to communicate efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds frequently to 200 pounds maximum
• The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously
• The ability to work in cramped quarters continuously
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
• The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions
• The ability to work at a rapid speed continuously
• The ability to use cooking equipment such as convection ovens, a proofer, knives, a dishwasher, hand trucks, and small kitchen tools frequently
