Job Description:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and physicians. LPNs assist in implementing nursing care plans, performing routine medical procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records. They monitor patients' health status, administer medications, and provide emotional support to patients and their families. LPNs collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and individualized patient care. They must adhere to ethical and legal standards and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with patient assessments and develop nursing care plans in collaboration with RNs and physicians.
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding, as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain electronic medical records.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and current LPN license in the state of practice.
- CPR certification and basic life support (BLS) training.
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Compassion, empathy, and dedication to patient-centered care.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Pay: $43.00 per hour
