MVT Solutions was formed in 2016 as a partnership between Mesilla Valley Transportation (MVT) and InnoMetric MPG. Prior to being introduced to InnoMetric MPG testing methods in 2012, MVT tried all available tests in an attempt to find fuel savings.

Through InnoMetric MPG testing, MVT found savings of $3,000,000 dollars in just the first year alone. After several years of working together, they decided to partner and combine their unique fleet experience and 21st-century testing methodology to offer to test and consulting services to the entire trucking industry.

Join the MVTS team!!! MVT Solutions is hiring a Shop Technician in Las Cruces, NM!

The Shop Technician completes hands-on tasks for the MVTS team including product installations, modifications, development, and fuel economy testing. Shop Technicians will also be part of a team testing new technologies including aerodynamics, tires, engine parameters for a host of clients including OEM's, Top 100 Fleets, and technology companies. This position DOES require a CDL Class A (Commercial Driver's License).

Responsibilities:

• Works with the MVTS team to install test products such as aerodynamic components, wheels, tires, lubricants, fuel, and oil additives.
• Travel to our test facility periodically throughout the year for 2-5 days per trip (extra compensation for travel expenses provided). The test facilities are in Las Cruces, NM and Pecos, TX. Travel schedule will depend on testing client needs.
• Road test vehicles when required.
• Supervises the work of any apprentice technicians/interns as assigned.

Requirements:

• Self-motivated
• CDL Class A
• 6 Months recent Tractor/Trailer experience
• 6 months experience in a shop environment
• Ability to travel 2-5 days at a time based on testing needs
• Ability to attend orientation in El Paso, TX
