What is the role about?
This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that include ensuring the quality of our products through in-house and external analysis and testing. The Quality Control Associate will work closely with our production team and external laboratories to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain our products' highest quality standards. Required to meet and exceed client expectations and will be responsible for ensuring that our product quality and shipments meet the Company's standards.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product movement procedures under local, state, and federal laws and regulations and Company Standards in all activities under your supervision.
  • Perform routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, intermediate, and finished products using HPLC and FTIR analysis. Also, perform visual analysis of products for physical properties.
  • Coordinate analysis with external contract testing organizations of raw materials, intermediate, and finished products.
  • Monitor the packaging processes to ensure that quality standards are achieved.
  • Acquire in-process samples during production for testing.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Actively participate in meetings, report on test results, and provide solutions-based commentary.
  • Develop and execute standard operating procedures (SOP) and processes accurately.
  • Record and report results in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review analytical results from external contract testing organizations for accuracy and compliance with established procedures
  • Develop and validate analytical methods for product analysis
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HPLC equipment and perform routine maintenance
  • Participate in laboratory audits and inspections
  • Provide oversight, training, and coaching to team members to ensure the highest quality, efficiency, and output.
  • Assist with other laboratory tasks as needed.
  • Responsible for approving or rejecting, as he/she sees fit, starting materials, packaging materials, intermediate, bulk, and finished products.
  • Ensure that all necessary testing is carried out and the associated records evaluated.
  • Monitoring stability programs
  • Other duties within the quality unit as assigned

Salary: $21 to $ 29 per hour, depending on prior experience, skills, and education.
What education is needed for this role? A bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Material Science, Science, or another related field, and a combination of education and equivalent relevant years of experience.
Do you have this experience?
  • 5 years in Quality Control, highly preferred.
  • 3 Years of work experience in a regulated life science industry (i.e. pharmaceutical, chemical, medical device)
  • 3+ years of GMP manufacturing experience preferred.

Do you possess these specialized skills?
  • Experienced in various analytical techniques, e.g., HPLC, GC, MS/MS, FTIR, UV/Vis.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments without direct authority in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient as a quick, hands-on learner
  • Expert ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team atmosphere in all areas.
  • Ability to initiate and follow through on work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficient and demonstrated basic computer skills - Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be able to work in a safety-aware environment.
  • Ability to accurately fill out documentation.
