309 Coffee is currently looking to hire a Shop Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, including training and management of staff, inventory management, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Sales, Reporting, and Financial Responsibility
- Maintain updated records of daily, weekly, and monthly revenues and expenses
- Communicate with 309 Leadership team to maintain policy and procedure at all levels of the operation
- Report performance information to Ownership at regular cadence
Operations
- Manage day-to-day operations of the cafe
- Facilitate weekly scheduling of staff
- Monitor inventory levels. Institute and manage inventory best practices.
- Communicate with vendors/management to maintain business relationships and secure appropriate pricing
- Maintain functional, efficient, pleasant store environment and high-quality food and beverage offering
- Plan, organize and execute events, including those that occur on a regular basis (like trivia), participation in community events, and rental for private events.
Leadership and Team Organization
- Lead by example and embody the overall culture, values, and mission of 309
- Communicate store and individual goals to team effectively while motivating others
- Hire, onboard, and train new staff and baristas
- Schedule regular staff meetings to keep everyone involved and informed
- Complete 6-month reviews with staff to highlight strengths and areas for growth
Quality of Product & Environment
- Ensure that all company and store standards, guidelines, and procedures are communicated and followed by staff at all times
- Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences
- Ensure all cafe areas are clean, tidy and align with all health codes
- Ensure proper equipment functionality and performs or enforces completion of regular equipment maintenance. Utilize resources and available information to troubleshoot when equipment errors occur; respond in a timely and reasonable fashion to problems.
- Maintain, model, and coach on speed of service and organize employees to maintain the most efficient flow for serving customer
- Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
- Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
Requirements
- Work experience as a manager and multiple roles in a coffee shop
- 1-2 years of barista with professional coffee machines
- Good math skills
- Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, able to work in a fast-paced coffee shop whilst providing excellent customer service
- High school diploma
- Food Manager and TABC certified, or willingness to get certified immediately upon hire
- Additional certification (e.g. in Business Administration or Hospitality) or Bachelor’s Degree is a plus

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
